Meet Ian Mastbraker, Area Service Manager (South) at Right Digital Solutions (RDS). Ian has been an essential part of RDS since 2012, his diverse experiences have shaped his approach to leadership ensuring the South Team thrives.

Today, he is a driving force behind the success of RDS in London and Birmingham, guaranteeing  his team delivers the service, precision and integrity our customers deserve.

Ian Mastbraker: leadership in the fast lane

As the Area Service Manager (South), Ian guides his team towards success by focusing on collaboration, transparency and the delivery of RDS’s core values. His role involves target setting, escalation management and workforce engagement, all while ensuring customer satisfaction remains the top priority.

Q&A with Ian Mastbraker

We sat down with Ian to talk more about his experience at RDS and what motivates him in his role.

Q: Can you tell us about your role at RDS?

A: “My role here is to manage the South Team to succeed. I think good leadership is a chain reaction: If my team succeeds, RDS succeeds and, more importantly, so do our customers. I liaise with multiple departments, making sure that we are transparent and collaborative. It’s important to know that our customers feel the benefit of having RDS as their business partner.”

Q: What drives you in your role?

A: “RDS has a great team, and fine-tuning them to deliver our values is one of my biggest motivators. Also, I’m driven by the opportunity to lead a team that embodies our values and delivers reliability and excellence to our customers. For me, success is about going beyond just meeting deadlines – we aim to exceed expectations and create long-lasting partnerships.”

Q: What’s the best thing about working at RDS?

A: “Without a doubt, it’s the people. Here at RDS, we share the passion for delivering what the customer needs – and then some. I’ve seen firsthand how our team works hard to be dependable, get things over the line, and make sure every customer is satisfied. It’s inspiring to be part of a company that truly puts the customer first.”

Q: What do you enjoy outside of work?

A: “Motorcycling is my passion! I’ve been riding since I was a kid. I love exploring twisty roads across the UK and Europe, often alongside my partner, Natalie, who shares my love for biking. Our weekend rides through Europe are a highlight for me; there’s something incredibly freeing about being out on the open road.”
